Modus Vivendi

Calos Kleiber is one of the most prestigious Conductors that I know. I do love his work. Unfortunately, he didn’t record as much as I’d want him to.

Rafael Kubelik and him, despite of the fact of being AMAZING in conducting Orchestras, didn’t record many LPs. It’s REALLY sad, I guess, ‘cause they’re just great.

First time I listened to Kleiber, I was like 18 year old and I was completely astonished by his work. It was a performance of Brahms’ Symphony no. 4 in E minor, Schubert’s Symphony no. 8, the Unfinished, and two pieces of Wagner’s Sanson and Dalila.

Well, talking about this post now, I don’t need to tell you all that Beethoven is a real genius and every work of him is special and important for all humanity, but I must say that this Symphony, the 7th in A major, is completely brilliant. I should regard this Symphony as my favorite one sometimes, but the Choral doesn’t make easier to pick up just one as THE favorite.

The Second Movement of 7th Symphony is my most precious lovely memory of life. I think is just perfect and sweetly complete: it’s like waking up one day just for loving and, perhaps, suffering a little bit.

I hope you all enjoy this finest music with Kleiber as much as I always do.
